On behalf of the Citadel Futbol Club, we invite your club/team to participate in the 22nd Annual Fort Wayne Invitational to be held June 13-15 2008 at Hefner Soccer Fields.

The Citadel Futbol Club is dedicated to providing the premier level player in Northeast Indiana with the opportunity to reach the highest level of soccer competition. The area's top college and high school coaches have come together to design a program that ensures complete player development, both on and off the field. Citadel players take advantage of carefully designed training to enhance their skills and prove their excellence against premier teams in league and tournament competition, in Indiana and around the Midwest. Our teams are known and respected for their ability to win, along with their sportsmanship. Teams are formed in June at annual tryouts.

OUR TOURNAMENT
Citadel FC produces the one of the largest tournament in the area each year. The Fort Wayne Invitational is the premier tournament for this region, with hundreds of teams having attended the event in the past two decades. This tournament has been held in June of each year since 1987.

The tournament is designed for all levels of teams from State Cup Champions, Premier Teams and Club Teams. Boys and girls divisions will include U9 thru U19. Each participating team will play a minimum of three games in each division. Individual trophies will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place teams in U-11 thru U19 (U9’s and U10’s participation only). We will be following the IYSA recommended implementation of the USYSA small-sided format: 6v6 for U9’s and U10’s; 8v8 for U11’s and U12’s; and 11v11 for U13’s thru U19’s. In years past, our tournament has drawn teams from: Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Alaska.

All applications and entry fees must be received no later than April 21, 2008. Teams that are not accepted will have their entry fee returned with their letter of notification. The entry fee is $400.00 (U9’s and U10’s $350.00). Make checks or money orders payable to FWUSA Citadel FC. Once a team is accepted, the entry fee is forfeited if that team later withdraws.

We are again negotiating favorable group rates at many area hotels in an effort to provide you with the highest quality, service and organization. Your support of our system is required so that we can offer you one of the best tournament experiences.

Annual Coaches Game- Held Saturday evening following team soccer games. Many folks remember the great time they had at the Saturday night Coaches VS Coaches Game!! Encourage your coach to join in the fun.
